Hi, I’m Steff, the heart behind Olive Mae.

Olive Mae was born out of a deeply personal season in my life. I had just become a mum of three little ones in under four years, and as any mum knows, life in those early years is beautifully full… and often completely chaotic.

Amongst all the chaos, I kept finding myself frustrated by one tiny but persistent thing: what to wear. I wanted to feel like me again, like a woman, not just a mother. But everything in my wardrobe either felt too tight, too frumpy, too fussy, or simply didn’t fit this new version of my body and life.

So, I began dreaming about clothes that would move with me, breathe with me, and feel beautiful on even the messiest of days. Dresses and skirts I could throw on in 10 seconds and instantly feel put-together, whether I was heading to the playground, to swimming lessons or out for croissant. Pieces that were comfortable, flattering, and made from natural fabrics. And maybe most importantly, clothes that still made me feel pretty.

That dream sat quietly for a while. But slowly, quietly, I started sketching, learning, sourcing, and testing. I taught myself, I made mistakes, and I kept going. I poured myself into creating something I wish I had during those hard, blurry, precious postpartum years.

And that’s how Olive Mae began, not just as a clothing label, but as a love letter to all the women trying to feel like themselves again.

Every piece we design is made to celebrate softness and strength. Each detail, the fabric, the pockets, the flow, is considered with comfort and care in mind. Whether you’re chasing toddlers, baby-wearing, breastfeeding, working, resting, or all of the above… I hope you feel like you in Olive Mae.
